Here are some important burning tips so you can enjoy your Cafe Noir Experience!

Before you light your candle:-
Ensure you place your candle on a fire resistant surface and away for any draughts. Keep away for other heat sources and follow the instructions below.

Preventing memory rings.
It is really important that on the first burn that you allow the wax to melt (liquefy) so it reaches a full burning pool (full diameter of the container). If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the jar or container, it will create a “memory ring,” especially if this is the first time the candle is lit. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. It is recommended that the candle should burn for approx. 4 hours each time.

Keeping the wick trimmed to ¼” at all times
We suggest trimming the wick every 4 hours of burning time. When trimming the wick you should always extinguish the flame, let the candle return to room temperature and trim the wick.

Ensuring a perfect burn
Do not burn your candle near an open window or in a draught. Please also check that the wick remains in the center of the jar or container, each time you re-light, to avoid uneven burning. Best to re-position the wick when the wax is still soft, not liquefied. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Never blow the candle out use the lid to extinguish. Never let the candle burn below 2cm from the base. Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring.

Candle safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended, Burn Candles out of reach of Children and Pets. Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles. Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire. Do not place in a draught Do not place a candle near a source of heat. Always use a candleholder and protect surfaces beneath from wax spillage & heat. Place your candle in an upright position. Do not move a burning Candle. Use candle lid to extinguish the candle do not blow out.
